HVP is looking to add an experienced Carpenter to our team. The ideal candidate is motivated, organized, and looking to expand their leadership in the high-performance residential construction industry. A candidate should have framing experience, the ability to be self-directed, and a willingness to learn while applying building science principles to challenging projects.

Additionally, candidates must have excellent communication and quality control skills, and the ability to handle the tools of the trade safely and efficiently. Experience in a Lead Carpenter position is a plus, but not required; we are willing to train a candidate with the right mix of skills and ambition to grow into a leadership role. This position is full-time, and the work is generally within 30 miles of Kent, CT.

Hudson Valley Preservation is a mission-driven, values guided organization and we are looking for someone to integrate into and bring energy to our small team. We are searching for someone who loves coming to work every day, who brings fresh perspectives, superb communication, excellent listening skills, and an abundance of creativity.  The job will be highly rewarding for someone who is self-directed and a team player, with ample opportunity for growth and evolution. You will work closely with the leadership team and report directly to HVP’s founding Partner. This job is an opportunity to excel professionally and be a catalyst for social change by driving HVP’s vision and nonprofit efforts. The position is full time and based in HVP’s offices in Kent CT with limited opportunities for remote working.

This position has three main functions: Operational Support, Trades Advocacy, and Marketing & Social Media Management. As our Project Coordinator you’ll be the first point of contact for the company and potential clients. You will keep our office running smoothly and support team operations. You will also manage HVP’s marketing & sales efforts and manage our social media presence.  Finally, you will be the Coordinator for our initiative, Touch-a-Trade, which seeks to create a new generation of tradespeople and produces the annual Touch a Trade event in October.
